The Last Station. I loved this movie. Very poignant and very helpful in understanding my own life and my passions.

White Rabbits
White Rabbits at Koko. Better than the record. Last time I saw them I didn’t really get it. This time I was very impressed. Every time I am at Koko I remember what an amazingly beautiful venue it is.
Yeasayer
Yeasayer at Heaven. I am a huge fan of the record, but the gig didn’t move me so much. Maybe because Heaven was so crowded and I was right at the back? Not my favourite venue anyway.

Enjoyed this movie, but not as much as I had hoped. Over-hyped?
Depeche Mode at RAH
Really enjoyed DM at the Royal Albert Hall.
I took some pics on my iPhone. Available here

Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “It’s Blitz” - I didn’t really get this record. It seems so scary loud, unlistenably loud somehow for me. No real bottom end. I was disappointed, because I have a great admiration and respect for the people involved. Perhaps I just need to try harder.
The Power of Yes

David Hare’s “The Power of Yes” at the National Theatre. A interesting story about the financial catastrophe of the last few years - the people who pick up the pieces when the markets collapse are not the people who have benefitted from the markets.
MPG Awards
The Music Producer Awards at the Cafe de Paris. An interesting and enjoyable event. Congratulations to all the winners.
Broadcasting
Sir John Tusa spoke at a Trinity Arts and Media meeting about “Broadcasting - Public or Private” which led to an interesting discussion and Q & A. I had a lightbulb moment when I realised that funding for the BBC will probably dry up as people move to TV free zones. Then they don’t need to pay the licence fee. People stopped buying music after all. Same will happen for TV. Graciously hosted by Sir Paul Judge.

Animal Collective. Merriweather Post Pavilion. Double Vinyl, gatefold sleeve. A gorgeous record. A year after the release - I’m glad I bought this on Vinyl.
